This product is specifically designed to interface with all the new and old BMW motorcycles where a 2 or 3 wire CANBus system are present. Ported from our best selling product the SB2 platform offers more options in terms of hardware and software then the older SB1. 100% CANBus compatible!
In order to keep the product a true plug-and-play, we had to craft a custom connector for some models. Hence the price increase over the other SB2 and/or model specific/complexity. Germans have never been known to make their designs simple :p
It's a proven fact that motorcycles can decelerate more rapidly than most cars and trucks. The combination of a motorcycle's narrow profile and the brisk change in velocity during braking is the most common cause of rear end accidents involving motorcycles, and often the results are fatal to the rider. Vizible Technologies' SupaBrake modulators are designed to enhance the reaction time of the vehicle behind you. It is designed to pulsate your vehicle's brake light(s) with a variable number of flashes calculated by its embedded algorithm. The algorithm is based on the rate at which you apply your brakes. As a result, the brake light(s) are flashed in a more subtle manner at lower speeds(when brakes are frequently used), and more aggressively at higher speeds(when brakes are not used for longer time intervals). Whereas other simpler products on the market that continuously "blink" their brake light(s) with an annoying repeating sequence - each and every time their brakes are applied! Our Supabrake product pulses in driving conditions when you need to get the immediate attention of drivers without annoying them.
Upon applying the brakes, the SupaBrake sends a burst of pulses to your motorcycle's brake light(s). The duration of the burst is a function of the time elapsed between the current brake cycle and the previous. After the burst, the unit allows the rear brake light to function normally(solid brake light). This algorithm is designed to eliminate target fixation as found in cheaper, passive versions that continuously "blink" the brake light(s) even though the vehicle is at a complete stop.
Example at low speed
When the frequency at which the driver/rider applies the brakes increases, (i.e. during low speeds such as city driving), the shorter the burst of flashes to the rear brake(s) light will be. If the brakes are applied within 0 - 12 seconds, the brake light will NOT flash - thus allowing it to function normally (solid brake light). This condition is most valuable during heavy stop-and-go traffic so as not to annoy the person or police in the vehicle behind you.
Example at cruising speed
When the frequency at which the driver/rider applies the brakes decreases, (i.e. at cruising speed), the longer the burst to the rear brake light will be. This condition is most valuable during quick sudden decelerations at speeds which require quick reaction to changes in traffic conditions or other driver's intentions. It has been scientifically proven that a quick flashing of a vehicle's brakes will alert the driver behind much sooner ... and the SupaBrake Flasher does this for you.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
Don't put other outdated bulkier modules on your motorcycle that pulsate your brake light each and every time you apply your brakes. Most of these cheaper annoying modules will continue to flash your brake light(s) with the same irritating routine even when you are completely stopped in traffic. This is not only illegal and annoying it detracts from the visual appearance of your vehicle and other drivers/riders attention to the road. Some of these "zombie-like" flashers claim to have an accelerometer module that will supposedly give you a couple of hundreds milliseconds reaction time. We have experimented with these in our lab and road tests, they don’t work due to the nature of engine vibration, road vibration and mounting angle. Simply too many noise vectored components giving them very poor sensitivity. That is not the best way to implement this sort of technology. At best they are just for marketing. Be careful you always get what you pay for.

Truly a great product. Installation could not be easier - no splicing and unit is small enough to fit in the recess behind the brake light. I never bothered with changing the programming - it did exactly what I wanted right out of the box. No unnecessary bluetooth interface. No wonky accelerometer. It does what it does well and is install and forget. Also appreciate that Bernard was so willing to share his knowledge of the arcane wizardry that is CANBus as I wanted to expand this system to additional accessory lights.
In short, I am an engineer by trade and I know a well engineered product when I see one. I installed a Supabrake is on both my bikes and is certainly a winner with me..

This is the second one I've purchased for my bikes. Installation doesn't get and easier. Programming the unit is a snap. I believe this product is a must now a days with everyone driving around looking at their cell phones. It really grabs your attention.

An excellent product, that clearly is the result of a quality program, and a desire to excel. For old farts like me, it would be nice to have a hard copy of a portion of the user manual pertaining to set-up, and tuning of the device.

Excellent product! Easy to install and program. The online manual is easy to read. I would give it five stars if the price was a bit less as the total gets pricy with shipping.

Had some questions about install, how upstream in the harness the module was inteded to fit, and was resolved in a snap. Installed in 5 minutes.

product worked great, no instructions and no answer to my question about a white wire that I did not use because no one answered my question
-ViziTec note: Customer ordered kit for K1600GT(without top-case). A K1600GT-L was sent. Per printed instruction sent with package the "white wire" is only and only if you have a top-case or if you chose to install one at a later time. The white wire will modulate it. It was best to send you this extra "white wire" in case you want to add a top-case later. A courtesy. Also looking over notes email was answered.

I ended up buying the SB2 because I didn't need the added features of the SB3. Easy install on my 2009 BMW R1200GSA. My bike has an LED brake light, so the modulation of the SB2 really stands out. The product is very well designed and packaged. I feel more visible now when riding, and look forward to years of use. Thanks again to you and the Vizi-Tec team for your help. Best regards.

Love it, works well, should become a sales rep with all the other GS riders asking where to get it :)
